ICF Sacramento Chapter. Connect more 2024
President's Message

Dear ICF Sacramento Members,

I hope this message finds you well and thriving in the pursuit of your coaching goals.
As we embrace the spirit of connection in 2024, I am delighted to share some exciting updates from our recent endeavors.

The Board Retreat, held a few weeks ago, was an invigorating experience where our team came together to plan and forge deeper connections.
This year's overarching theme, "Connect More in 2024", guides our mission to strengthen the bonds within our coaching community.

The inaugural Chapter Meeting, expertly facilitated by Robin Matthews and Katie Kanowsky, was an ode to the love of coaching.
Their passion and expertise created an inspiring atmosphere that set the tone for a year filled with meaningful conversations.

Our first Lunch & Learn, a captivating session with Gavin Ambrosini, delved into "Understanding the Difference Between Coaching Supervision & Mentor Coach."
Gavin's insights provided valuable perspectives, setting the stage for a year of learning and growth.

Our DEIB Book Club continues to explore the thought-provoking book "The Sum of Us," sparking dynamic conversations and fostering a deeper understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
These discussions are essential in cultivating a community that embraces differences and celebrates shared values.

Looking ahead, we're thrilled to announce more exciting programming, including Coaches’ Cafés and thought-provoking sessions.
Your participation in these events is key to building the connections that make our community strong and vibrant.

Additionally, registration for our upcoming conference is now open!
We have curated a stellar lineup of programs and opportunities for connection.
It's a fantastic chance to network, learn, and grow together as a coaching community.

We look forward to another month filled with enriching experiences and the opportunity to connect with you more.
Together, let's make 2024 a year of meaningful connections, growth, and success.

Wishing you all the best on your coaching journey,

Lisa Laughter, ACC, CPC (she/her/hers)

Core Competency Series

Our Core Competency Series run from March through November and pursue 3 learning objectives:

1. To understand how the competency functions and impacts outcomes.

2. to  be able to identify different expectations for ACC, PCC, and MCC.

3. To have actionable takeaways to apply in their practice.

Each session happens on Zoom and is hosted by Laurie Cozart, and this year, Carmen Perry is joining Laurie!

Meet Carmen, our Associate Director of Programs…

Carmen says: “I am an Executive| Life Coach and Career Strategist.   I am a perpetual learner, and coaching allows me to be in a great space to keep acquiring knowledge. I have been a coach for six years.  And…I love what I do!

This year, I decided to rejoin ICF Sacramento as a member and an Associate Director of Programs.
In this role, I will be working on the Core Competency series.

Since Core Competencies are fundamental to the role of coaching, increased knowledge at each credential level offers unlimited growth potential in this field.
However, my reasoning is multifaceted: I want to prepare myself for my PCC credentialing, bring awareness to coaches considering it, and increase membership in the ICF community.”

Thank you Carmen, thank you Laurie.

Let's connect more!
