 | Time to Turn Up the Heat — Are You Ready?
Dear ICF Sacramento Members,
As the weather heats up, we’re doing the same! Spring is the season to get growing and the energy across our chapter reflects that. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to engage with us, build your practice, or expand your presence, this is it.
We’re also launching new offerings. Our Coach Business Builder Series begins this month with a hands-on workshop to help you create a compelling profile in our ICF Sacramento Coach Directory. This is more than a listing — it’s you stepping into your visibility and your voice as a professional coach. Alongside that, our Maximize Your Membership session will alternate monthly with our New(ish) Member Meeting to ensure that every member, new or seasoned, knows exactly how to leverage the full power of this chapter.
With our transition to our enhanced Coach Directory, we will sunset the option to add member-hosted events to our chapter calendar as of May 1 and dedicate energy to driving traffic to our directory where you can clearly indicate who you are and what you offer in a way that is clear, accessible, and impactful for the Sacramento community and beyond.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to announce that our International Coaching Week (ICW) events are open for registration! We have created a week full of programming that celebrates coaching, including a virtual forum with a live coaching demonstration, a special event with a local partner organization to demonstrate the value of coaching, and three Coach Connect gatherings designed to promote connection, conversation, and opportunities for coaching.
We are calling in volunteers for our Coach Connect and partner organization events, so brush up on your laser coaching skills at our April 14 Chapter Meeting and join us to demonstrate the power of coaching. We will have expanded media coverage throughout ICW, spotlighting our chapter and the extraordinary work you all do, so get ready to be seen.
I’m excited to continue unveiling what your hard-working board has been building for you. Stay tuned — there’s more on the way!
With appreciation,
Carrie Chown
President, ICF Sacramento

International Coaching Week (ICW), May 11–17, is an annual weeklong global celebration of the coaching profession, designed to share and educate about the value of working with a professional coach and to acknowledge the personal and professional results and progress that can be achieved through the coaching process.
During ICW, coaches around the world offer a variety of activities and pro bono services in their local communities so others can experience, firsthand, coaching and its benefits.
When you join us for our ICW events, you’ll find many ways to engage, make connections, and experience coaching for yourself.
These events are open to all, at no cost — you don't need to be a member to attend. Click to learn more about the events or to register. And please help us spread the word by inviting your friends, family members, colleagues, and associates!
