About this event
This is a dynamic, 3-session program where participants meet once a week for 90 minutes. You will rotate to a different role in each week of the program - Coach, Client, and Observer - ensuring a multi-faceted and experiential approach to your coach development.
CCEUs: 1.5 in Core Competencies
Here's What You’ll Gain
- Enhanced Coaching Skills: In your role as Coach, you’ll gain practice implementing the ICF Core Coaching Competencies and the valuable opportunity for self-reflection and feedback, allowing you to assess and enhance your coaching style.
- New Perspective: In your role as Client, you'll gain valuable perspective on different coaching strategies and better understand the emotional and psychological dynamics of being in a receptive role, which can enhance your empathy and effectiveness when coaching others.
- Critical Evaluation Skills: In your role as Observer, you’ll use the provided feedback form to critically evaluate coaching interactions, deepening your understanding of the ICF Core Coaching Competencies and how to apply them effectively. It also sharpens your feedback skills, essential for constructive coaching.
- Continuing Education: Earn 1.5 CCEUs in Core Competencies, contributing to your re-certification requirements.
- Coaching Hours: Earn 1 reciprocal coaching hour that counts toward certification.
Eligibility Criteria
This program is perfect for newer coaches but welcomes participants from all experience levels who adhere to the ICF Core Coaching Competencies. We strive to match participants with similar experience levels, although this depends on the profiles of those who register.
Here’s How it Works
- Registration: Register for a Coaching Triad by the last day of the month to participate in the upcoming month's round.
ICF Sacramento Chapter Members: $49
Non-Members $99
Registrants will receive an email confirmation containing a link to the matching form.
The matching form must be completed before the end of the month in order to be matched
with other participants in the upcoming coaching round. In the event that there are not
enough participants to match, a credit will be given for the upcoming round to apply
to a future round.
- How to Start: You’ll receive an introductory email connecting you with your Triad members within the first week of the month you signed up for. This email includes instructions for self-managing the sessions and an Observation Form.
- Once introduced, coordinate among yourselves to set your session dates and
decide who will take on the roles of Participant A, B, and C.
- Complete All Three Sessions: Your Triad can meet in-person or via video calls to finish all sessions within one month.
- Complete the Feedback Form: During the last week of the month, you will receive a link to a survey to provide feedback on your experience and request your CCEUs.
