Monthly Meeting: Gift of Noticing

Gift of Noticing

Date:
August 13, 2024
Time:
11:30am - 1:00pm Pacific Time

CCEUs: 0.75 in Core Competencies and 0.75 in Resource Development

Have you ever had difficulty in being fully present and engaged with your clients in a coaching session?

It takes being open to "notice" all that’s happening, not only with our clients but with ourselves. This “noticing” takes practice in recognizing the many layers of information available to us.

In this experiential session, participants will be invited to engage in “noticing” by using various mediums like images and music presented in a manner that can help shift our mindsets by being aware of the filters that can stand in the way of being fully present. Participants will be invited to share their learning.

This session will focus on ICF Competency #2 Embodies a Coaching Mindset and through the experiential exercises, sharing their reflections and learning, participants will take away a greater awareness of what it takes for coaches to be present and able to shift their mindset.

As a mentor coach, I support coaches in their growth of coaching style and abilities to work with a diverse clientele. I help coaches gain new insights and confidence to support their clients.

As a certified executive coach who works with leaders to develop self-awareness, find new approaches to tackle issues, and achieve goals with resource challenges. My approaches help to create the action needed to produce results.

As a leadership coach, I understand organizational systems, politics, team dynamics, and employee engagement and use these as levers to create results for my clients. My focus is working with international leaders at all levels within their organizations. Commonly, I work with leaders on their executive presence, communication style, strategic thinking, development of their vision, enhancing their influence, and encouraging self-care strategies. Helping leaders connect with their teams is important to me, I teach coaching skills to help them be more curious and thoughtful with their staff.

I keep active in my learning and my practice in the areas of leadership training and coaching. As a mentor coach, I support mid-career professionals in their learning in the Executive Coaching Program at Royal Roads University. As a speaker, executive coach and facilitator I also support leaders in organizations in their ongoing individual and team development, utilizing various programs and tools.

My experience in living and working internationally has provided me with an appreciation for different perspectives and cultures. Working in different sectors such as public service, oil and gas, electricity, communication and education has provided me with the range of experiences to know that leaders and their teams face similar challenges and opportunities when facing change and my role is assisting them in navigating their journeys.
